Locksmith covering Rotherham and its villages

I am based in Sheffield and Rotherham is a short run east, so I cover the whole borough rather than just the town centre. Rotherham is a collection of villages more than it is a single town, and the difference between them is obvious the moment you are stood at a front door. Maltby, Thurcroft, Rawmarsh, Thrybergh and Dinnington grew around collieries, so much of the housing is early twentieth century terraced rows and interwar semis originally built for pit families.

A large share of that stock was council owned and was later bought by the people living in it, and that is why you get whole streets where the doors have been replaced at different times by different people. One house has a decent anti-snap cylinder, the one next door has the cheapest uPVC door of the late nineties, and in most cases neither owner has any idea which they have got. Having somebody actually look at it is worth more than any amount of guessing.

At the other end of the borough, Wickersley, Bramley and Brinsworth are largely later private estates, and Waverley, built on the old Orgreave ground between Rotherham and Sheffield, is composite doors throughout. New does not mean settled. On a new build handover, the number of people who have held a key at some point, site staff, trades, agents, viewers, is not a number anybody can give you.
